The mercury climbed to a rather balmy 70 degrees, so no butts were frozen this year. We left Bill's “Big Top” and headed up the U.S. Navy Truck Road (now Eggert Drive), wandered through Avenel, a rather posh Potomac neighborhood, and then west out River Road to Seneca, and stopped at Riley's Lock (Lock 24) on the C&O Canal.
Where We Went
Astute riders will remember the balmy 2016 FYBO where we went to Swain's Lock (Lock 21), some miles east on the Canal.

No sooner did we reach our destination, that we discovered it was already time to leave. We headed back along beautiful winding roads - Esworthy, Query Mill, and the length of Glen Road.
Bicycles were in abundance on this beautiful warm day. Unfortunately, the idiot Montgomery County automobile drivers couldn't pass a bicycle without getting completely in the other lane - for fear that the bicycles might reach out and bite them.
Slowly, we made it to LaHinch, where we enjoyed warm food and cold beverages.
