Subject:Mike Mueller's 1948 Wins Best of Show - Vienna Moose Lodge Date:Mon Sep 5 10:41:33 2011
Hi All,

We had a great time at the Custom and Antique Bike Show on Sunday. The Highlands Chapter was represented by Mike Mueller, George Ogden and me. Mike brought his '48 and his '65. George had his 1945 WLA. I brought my 1943 WLA and the '66 XLCH. (On a side note: Much to my surprise, both of my bikes started on the first kick. Mike was duly impressed. Me to, for that matter).

Mike Mueller was the big winner, with his recently completed 1948 taking Best of Show. His 1965 Panhead took top of class honors, as well. Congratulations Mike. The '48 is a real beauty.

There were lots of bikes on show - Choppers, Bobbers, Customs, Rats and Antiques.

The Nighthawks were great, as always. The turnout for the event was substantial with all the proceeds donated to Spirit Open Equestrian.

This was the Third Annual Bike Show at the Moose Lodge. Watch for it next year.

FYI: The Lions Club is sponsoring a Car Show and Chili Cook Off in Clifton Virginia today. (9AM to 5 PM). I went last year and it was impressive. Hoping the rain will stay away until later in the day.

Regards,

Bob Nicholas
