Hi Guys,

BIKE SHOW ON SUNDAY - VIENNA, VA MOOSE LODGE

Mike Mueller and I plan on attending the Custom and Antique Bike Show at the Vienna Moose Lodge on Sunday (4th of September). I think George Ogden intends to go, as well.

The address is: 9616 Courthouse Rd. Vienna VA. The show runs from 2 PM to 8 PM. The Nighthawks will be providing the musical entrainment. Mike told me that they would like the motorcycles registered before 2PM.

The Moose Lodge Website is: http://viennamooselodge1896.org/upcomingeventscalendar.html

The cost for the event is $20 including a buffet. Bike registration is an additional $15.

The show benefits Spirit Open Equestrian which provides horseback riding for handicapped children and young adults.

Hope to see a bunch of our Highlands Chapter Brothers in attendance.

PEAKS OF OTTER ROAD RUN - Thursday October 13 (early arrival), Friday October 14 (Short Ride) and Friday October 15 Long Ride).

Rollo, Mike and I have been working on the Peaks of Otter Road Run. Peter Knick met with Rollo and me last week to plan out the routes for Friday and Saturday. Pete had some great ideas. (Thanks Peter for all your help). Peter volunteered to lead one of the rides. He is checking with Barry to see if he will lead the other ride.

We would like a head-count of expected participants for the Peaks of Otter Road Run Event. Drop me an e-mail to let me know if you intend to attend. We need to let the Lodge know how many folks to expect. Also, I'll need to contact Jack Mason Tavern in Clifton Forge to let them know how many to expect for lunch on Saturday.

Don't forget to reserve your room at Peaks of Otter Lodge. Early registration will guarantee our rooms are all in the same building. October is their busy time, so rooms fill up pretty quickly. Their website is:

We probably should have another meeting in early September to make any final decisions regarding the event. Hope to have a meeting update shortly.

Regards,

Bob Nicholas
