|Subject:||Sock Wash - Great Success - Many Thanks||Date:||Mon Jan 3 11:59:48 2011|
Thanks to everybody that helped work on the WLA at yesterday's Sock Wash. Many thanks to George for his guidance and for putting up with us for the whole day. Tim offered to dive home to pick up his riveting attachment for the air hammer. It worked great. Thanks to Hodge for encouraging me to proceed with the second intake nipple even when things got tough.
For those who couldn't make it, you missed us kicking the XLCH for (what seemed like) 20 minutes before it roared to life. Thanks to Rollo for coming up with a new start-up technique. I'm sure it will save me from my typical 20-40 kicks.
A good time was had by all. We'll try to post a couple of photos on the website.
FYI: Hodge will be hosting the first formal meeting of 2011. Watch for his upcoming announcement.
It's time to start mapping out our calendar for the new year. Rollo already has some event ideas that need to be discussed (Patriot...etc). In addition, Hodge wants to get some informal rides planned for the near future.
Hope to see you at the next meeting.
Thanks again to everybody that attended George's annual Sock Wash and Wrenching Session.
Special thanks to Guru George.
