The Workshop Hero company donated some product samples to our Chapter. At today's "Sock Wash", you received two samples of Metal Rescue rust remover.

Please use your samples on whatever rusty junk you have around, and tell us how well it works removing rust. If it works well, we all might want to buy some. If not...

1) A small bottle of Metal Rescue CONCENTRATE. Mix this with 8 fluid ounces of water in a plastic container to form a "bath".

The solution should be used at room temperature (68 degrees) or higher. Put rusty parts in it, and allow them to soak until they are no longer rusty. The bath may be re-used until it starts to lose effectiveness.

2) A small package of Metal Rescue GEL
This is for spot treatment of large objects where you can't conveniently immerse the part. But you need to follow the directions!!!

3) One person got the spray bottle of "DryCoat" rust preventative. This person is expected to report back after a year and tell us if it worked.

If you like Metal Rescue Rust Remover, and want to buy some, the least expensive way is to get it directly from WorkShop Hero online or by phone. They sell the 14 oz CONCENTRATE (makes 1.1 gal) for $20 with free shipping!

Amazon sells 1 gallon of ready-to-use for $25 with free shipping. Home Cheapo sells 1 gallon of ready-to-use for $25 with NOT-free shipping.

Enjoy, and let us know how it works!
