Now you got a reason to use that lathe. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- That's good to hear that it should be a fitting.. Thanks for a great day. Michael Groves ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Found the problem - Good News (I think). The oil pump output goes to a Tee where the line splits to the engine and to the oil pressure gauge. The gauge line cracked right at the tee fitting. Fortunately, I noticed the leak almost immediately after it happened, scanned the gauge (0 psig), and hit the kill button. So it only ran for a few seconds in this condition. All the oil lines use weird (at least by today's standards) fitting ferrules, so it'll take some creative work to make a new one. Hopefully, no damage was done in that brief time, and my 88-year-old girlfriend will be back on the road again soon. Sorry to put a damper on the day. But a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Wuss for driving the ambulance. |
