I'm with Sue on this. Good call Dave. While it may have not been as bad a it was supposed to be it still would have been bad at least for me. Ride and hour plus out and arrived soggy and pissed and bike a mess. Breakfast would have been a highlight. Then ride or ride back and be soggy and pissed with the bike an even bigger mess and all for what? I like being with the group but not soggy and pissed with the group. Hope we have better weather on the 20th as I am looking forward to a nice breakfast and ride with the group@! Tom ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Good job Mr Prez - happy I’m not dodging raindrops! ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- When we cancel an event due to the weather forecast, it's usually "damned if you do and damned if you don't". Your prez often looks like a real fool when the weather turns out beautiful despite a horrible forecast. Bill Lackman just (11:30) reported that it was pouring down rain in Berryville. Raining off and on here in Broad Run. I'm hanging up my dunce cap until the next time... See you on the 20th! ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Somehow, this Sundays's forecast of showers, cloudy, and upper 50's at 10am just doesn't seem very enticing. |
