The Race of Gentlemen in Wildwood NJ this year is June 9-11.
Some of us went last year and Don Hollis raced his 45 and for a first time did pretty well. He is going back again this year for more abuse. Bob , Gen. George, Craig, Juan and myself are all going again too. Check it out by googling it. Rooms are very tight so if you want to try to go I would advocate looking now! It is designed to relive the days of racing in the 20's,30's and 40's and no bikes newer that 47 can run and no cars newer that 34 can run. Cars can have up to 53 engines but they must be flat head with 34 or earlier body. Old period racers are encouraged. Bikes can be OHV but not newer than 47. Must use stock carbs of the period and repo's of stock tires available at the time. Bike must be hand/tank shift or if shift on tranny was standard like on Indians prior to 37. Stock mechanical brakes too!
This is one cool event and highly recommend it!
